چکیده

A topological defect separating a pair of two-dimensional CFTs is a codimension one interface along which all components of the stress-energy tensor glue continuously. We study topological defects of the bosonic, (0,1)and (0,2)-supersymmetric sigma models in two dimensions. We find a geometric classification of such defects closely analogous to that of A-branes of symplectic manifolds, with the role of symplectic form played instead by a neutral signature metric. Alternatively, we find a compact description in terms of a generalized metric on the product of the targets. In the (0,1) case, we describe the target space geometry of a bundle in which the fermions along the defect take values. In the (0,2) case, we describe the defects as being simultaneously A-branes and B-branes.

QSPR Analysis with Curvilinear Regression Modeling and Topological Indices

Topological indices are the real number of a molecular structure obtained via molecular graph G. Topological indices are used for QSPR, QSAR and structural design in chemistry, nanotechnology, and pharmacology. Moreover, physicochemical properties such as the boiling point, the enthalpy of vaporization, and stability can be estimated by QSAR/QSPR models. In this study, the QSPR (Quantitative St...

Topological sigma-models with H-flux and twisted generalized complex manifolds

We study the topological sector of N = 2 sigma-models with Hflux. It has been known for a long time that the target-space geometry of these theories is not Kähler and can be described in terms of a pair of complex structures, which do not commute, in general, and are parallel with respect to two different connections with torsion. Recently an alternative description of this geometry was found, ...

The Geometry of Sigma-Models with Twisted Supersymmetry

We investigate the relation between supersymmetry and geometry for two dimensional sigma models with target spaces of arbitrary signature, and Lorentzian or Euclidean world-sheets. In particular, we consider twisted forms of the two-dimensional (p, q) supersymmetry algebra. Superspace formulations of the (p, q) heterotic sigma-models with twisted or untwisted supersymmetry are given. For the tw...

Freckled Instantons in Two and Four Dimensions

Field theory with instantons can be partially regularized by adding degrees of freedom at some scale. These extra degrees of freedom lead to the appearence of the new topological defects. These defects which we call freckles have some characteristic size depending on the scale at which the extra degrees of freedom revive. The examples of two dimensional sigma model, four dimensional gauge theor...

Instantons beyond Topological Theory Ii

The present paper is the second part of our project in which we describe quantum field theories with instantons in a novel way by using the " infinite radius limit " (rather than the limit of free field theory) as the starting point. The theory dramatically simplifies in this limit, because the correlation functions of all, not only topological (or BPS), observables may be computed explicitly i...
